Jerry West graduated from Potosi High School in 1975 where he was a very active student and athlete.  Mr. West was a standout basketball and baseball player for Potosi High School.  After graduation, Jerry became a fixture in the Potosi community as owner of Boyer Lumber and Rental. During his life and ownership, Mr. West was there for all, including donations to the Potosi R-3 School District. Jerry West served his community on the Pam Dudley Center Board, 911 Board, Potosi IDA Board, First State Bank Board and many others including the Potosi R-3 Board of Education. He was a member of the Potosi Elks Lodge #2218 where he spent many years as the Lodge Secretary. Mr. West’s life serves as a standard for service and integrity for all graduates of Potosi High School. He is honored for his passion of life, hard work, and his love for his community.
